Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL, "The Wiz Live" Share Top Demo Honors

Here are the highlights of the 10 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/3/15):

CBS (12.495 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.3, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday with special editions of "Thursday Night Football Pre-Game" (10.300 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #3) and "Thursday Night Football" (12.934 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.5, #1).

NBC (11.136 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.3, #T1) however shared in the demo honors with its presentation of "The Wiz Live!" (12.495 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.3, #2).

Next up was ABC (5.202 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with repeats of "Toy Story That Time Forgot" (4.026 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and "Shrek the Halls" (4.175 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) plus a new "CMA Country Christmas" (5.753 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.206 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up repeats of "Bones" (3.454 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and a second "Bones" (2.959 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.324 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and "The Originals" (1.179 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) on The CW (1.251 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.5/3 with an encore delayed by an NFL overrun; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/6 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4, delayed by an NFL overrun). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/5 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/3, delayed by an NFL overrun).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.5/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/4/14):

NBC (9.129 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) pulled off a demo victory on Thursday thanks to its presentation of "Peter Pan Live!" (9.129 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T3).

CBS (9.531 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then was a close second place with a repeat of "The Big Bang Theory" (10.741 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T3) followed by originals from "Mom" (10.569 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T1), "Two and a Half Men" (10.375 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T1), "The McCarthys" (8.260 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.0, #5) and "Elementary" (8.619 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6).

Next up was FOX (4.802 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and a new "Bones" (5.968 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7) plus the penultimate week of "Gracepoint" (3.636 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.151 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) served up the return of "The Taste" (3.306 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8) and a repeat "How to Get Away with Murder" (2.841 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.495 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10) and "Reign" (1.247 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) closed out the evening on The CW (1.371 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 1.1 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Reign" a 0.5 rating at 9:00/8:00c.
