Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice" Goes Out on Top

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/15/15):

NBC (11.220 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) was the network to beat among adults 18-49 on Tuesday with a "The Voice" (8.458 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) recap special alongside the two-hour season finale of "The Voice" (12.602 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1).

The silver then went to CBS (11.352 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) with the fall finales of "NCIS" (15.447 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (11.975 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) and "Limitless" (6.634 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

Next up was ABC (3.081 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its mix of "Toy Story That Time Forgot" (3.631 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), "Shrek the Halls" (3.336 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" (3.278 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and "Shark Tank" (2.483 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.539 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up its repeat lineup of "Grandfathered" (2.056 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #10), "The Grinder" (1.603 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11), another "Grandfathered" (1.327 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) and another "The Grinder" (1.169 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (1.169 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) and "iZombie" (0.583 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) on The CW (0.875 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/16/14):

NBC (10.094 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday thanks to "Elf: Buddy's Magic Christmas" (4.867 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and the two-hour season finale of "The Voice" (12.707 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.2, #1).

CBS (13.331 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) then took home the silver with its fall finales from "NCIS" (17.214 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (13.959 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "Person of Interest" (8.821 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Next up was ABC (4.426 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) and its repeat lineup of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (6.258 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T4), "Disney Prep & Landing" (4.184 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6), "Disney Prep & Landing 2: Naughty vs. Nice" (3.617 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9) and "Forever" (3.120 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.733 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) served up a new "MasterChef Junior" (5.546 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T4) alongside repeats of "New Girl" (2.187 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10) and "The Mindy Project" (1.654 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (1.734 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13) and "Supernatural" (1.265 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) on The CW (1.499 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "The Flash" posted a 0.4 rating while "Supernatural" delivered a 0.4 rating.
