NBC ranked #2 in primetime among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers and ranked #2 or tied for #2 among those nets in all other key measures.
The NBC News Special "A Toast to 2015!" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):
· Retained 100% of its year-ago rating in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.0 on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014) and grew in total viewers (4.764 million 4.717 million).
· Ranks #2 in the time period on the Big 4 in 18-49, total viewers and nearly all other key demographics.
· Grows steadily throughout its two hours, with this half-hour track in 18-49: 0.8, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2.
· Increases from its first half-hour to its fourth by +50% in adults 18-49 (from a 0.8 rating to a 1.2), +45% in adults 25-54 (1.1 to 1.6) and +15% in total viewers (4.4 million to 5.0 million).
"NBC's New Year's Eve Game Night with Andy Cohen" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10-10:58 p.m. ET):
· Ranks #2 in the slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories.
· Matches NBC's time-period average last season in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.0, L+SD non-sports).
In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Thursday night:
· From 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m., "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" averaged a 4.3 rating, 10 share in households in the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 2.7/10 in 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters. "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" retained 88% of last year's 4.9 in metered market households, which equaled the show's #2 rating since 2009. Last night's 2.7 in 18-49 in the local people meters retains 87% of the year-ago 3.1, which matched the show's high since 2009.
· Other late-night averages last night in the markets metered by Nielsen included: "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015" on ABC, 10.0/24 from 11:30 p.m.-1:15 a.m., 7.5/29 in 18-49 in the local people meters; and Fox's "Pitbull's New Year's Revolution," 3.1/7 in metered-market households from 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m., 2.7/10 in 18-49 in the local people meters. National results for the December 31 late-night programs, including viewer numbers, are due from Nielsen Media Research on Thursday, Jan. 7.
· An encore telecast of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," airing at 12:30 a.m. ET, averaged a 2.2/6 in households in Nielsen's 56 metered markets and a 1.2/6 in 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
· At 1:30 a.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in the local people meters.
· At 2:30 a.m., an encore "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households.
