"THE GOLDEN GLOBES" GROW YEAR-TO-YEAR IN THE METERED MARKETS

TRIPLES NBC'S TIME-SLOT AVERAGE LAST SEASON EXCLUDING FOOTBALL

THE "GLOBES" SCORE THE TOP NON-SPORTS RATING IN THE TIME PERIOD FOR ANY BIG 4 NETWORK SINCE LAST FEBRUARY'S "ACADEMY AWARDS"

Here are "Golden Globes" results from the 56 local markets metered by Nielsen, keep in mind that time zone-adjusted fast nationals are expected later today.

NBC's telecast of "The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" (13.0 rating, 20 share in households in the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research):

· Is up versus year-ago results in the local markets by +3% (13.0/20 vs. 12.6/19).

· Tops every Golden Globes average in the metered markets from 2008 through 2012 and virtually matches the 2013 rating (13.1).

· Delivers the highest rating in the time period for any Big 4 network, excluding sports, since last February's "Academy Awards."

· Triples NBC's average in the time period last season excluding football (13.0 vs. 4.2).

· Dominates the time period and is the night's #1 non-sports telecast.

· Has delivered over the last four years the event's four highest ratings since 2007.

Note that fast-affiliate ratings (due at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET) are not time zone-adjusted and will be unreliable for the live "Golden Globes" telecast. Time zone-adjusted fast nationals are expected later today.

"THE GOLDEN GLOBES" GROW +10% VS. THE PRIOR RICKY GERVAIS-HOSTED TELECAST

"GLOBES" TRIPLE NBC'S TIME-SLOT AVERAGE LAST SEASON EXCLUDING SPORTS, DESPITE FACING HIGH-RATED NFL OVERRUN

OUT-DELIVER EVERY "GLOBES" TELECAST FROM 2008 THROUGH 2012 IN TOTAL VIEWERS, MATCH THE HIGH OVER THAT FIVE-YEAR SPAN IN 18-49

In fast-official results from Nielsen Media Research, "The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" (5.5 rating share in adults 18-49, 18.5 million viewers overall):

· Are up +10% versus the prior telecast hosted by Ricky Gervais in 2012 in both 18-49 (5.5 vs. 5.0 on Jan. 15, 2012) and total viewers (18.511 million vs. 16.851 million).

· Despite facing 15 minutes of high-rated NFL Playoff coverage this year, retained 95% of last year's 18-49 rating (5.5 vs. 5.8) and 96% of the year-ago total-viewer result (18.511 million vs. 19.314 million).

· Out-delivered every "Golden Globes" in total viewers from 2008 through 2012 in and equaled the event's highest 18-49 rating over that five-year span.

· Delivered NBC's top non-sports result in 18-49 in the time-period, excluding previous "Golden Globes" telecasts and last February's "SNL 40" special, in nearly 12 years (since May 2, 2004, 6.2 for "Dateline" and "10.5, Part 1")

· Generated NBC's top non-sports total-viewer result in the time period excluding prior "Golden Globes" and the "SNL 40" special, in more than 13 years (since Sept. 22, 2002, 19.991 million for that year's "Emmy Awards").
