ESPN's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Viewership Up 14 Percent
WatchESPN's Most-Watched Celebrity Game Ever
The 2016 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, which aired on Friday, Feb. 12, exclusively on ESPN, averaged 2,043,000 viewers (p2+), up 14 percent from 1,787,000 viewers (p2+) in 2015, according to Nielsen. In addition, the telecast generated a 1.3 U.S. household rating, up eight percent from a 1.2 rating last year.
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on ESPN was the highest-rated telecast on Feb. 12, among key demos, including P18-34 and M18-34. It also helped propel ESPN to win the night across all of television - broadcast and cable - in the coveted M18-34 demo.
WatchESPN had its most-watched NBA All-Star Celebrity Game ever, generating 4,809,000 total minutes viewed, up 80 percent from 2015. Additionally, the game generated 158,000 unique viewers, which was up 86 percent from last year. An average minute audience of 38,000 viewers watched the event on WatchESPN, up 77 percent from a year ago.
