NBC wins Tuesday among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, sweeping six of six half-hours, led by the #1 show of the night, "The Voice," and slot wins from 10-11 p.m. ET for Tuesday previews of "Crowded."
A Tuesday preview of "Crowded" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 10-10:30 p.m. ET):
· Generated strong sampling, currently winning the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure, pending updates.
· Delivers a +50% margin of victory among those nets in adults 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.2 for CBS's #2 "Limitless").
· On a night of strong interest in primary election results, is currently matching the combined 18-49 ratings of the original competition from CBS's "Limitless" (1.2) and ABC's "Of Kings and Prophets" (0.6).
· The regular-slot premiere of "Crowded" is scheduled for Sunday, March 20, from 9:30-10 p.m. ET.
A second telecast of "Crowded" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 10:30-11 p.m. ET):
· Currently leads the time period's original ABC and CBS competition in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers -- pending updates.
· Generates a +40% margin of victory among those nets in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.0 for CBS's #2 "Limitless").
"The Voice" (2.7/9 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):
· Ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in every key demographic (including ties in men 18-34 and men 25-54).
· On the first Tuesday of Daylight Saving Time and versus the return of original "NCIS" competition, grows versus the comparable telecast of the prior by +4% in 18-49 rating (2.7 vs. 2.6 on Oct. 13, 2015) and +9% in total viewers (11.080 million vs. 10.135 million).
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - season to date, Tuesday's "Voice" has grown by +24% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 2.91 to a 3.62) and 2.1 million viewers overall (11.8 million to 13.9 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: Tuesday's "Voice" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 116 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).
Note that NBC stations in Cincinnati, Orlando and Greensboro carried primary coverage in the 10 p.m. hour.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:
· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Jimmy Fallon (0.9) beat the combined ABC-CBS results for "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.3) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.5).
· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Seth Meyers (0.5) beat Colbert (0.3) and tied Kimmel's (0.5), despite Meyers' later start time.
· In 18-49, Carson Daly's rebroadcast (0.3) topped Corden's original (0.2) and tied "Nightline" (0.3), despite starting an hour later than both shows and tied Colbert's original (0.3), despite starting two hours later.
· Fallon's guests Tuesday night included Jesse Eisenberg, Zo� Kravitz and musical guest Coldplay.
· Meyers' guests Tuesday included Naomi Watts, Chris Cuomo and musical guest Bloc Party.
· Daly's guests Tuesday night included Jay & Mark Duplass, Anya Taylor-Joy & Robert Eggers and musical guest Wolf Alice (encore).
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
