"SNL VINTAGE" GROWS IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR A FOURTH STRAIGHT TELECAST, TO ITS MOST-WATCHED EPISODE SINCE NOV. 7
Saturday Primetime Ratings:
"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):
· Delivers its most-watched episode since the Oct. 24 "Dateline Mystery" season premiere (5.055 million).
· Maintains 100% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.8) and grows +2% in total viewers (5.006 million vs. 4.924 million).
· Equals its 18-49 high since Jan. 30 (0.9).
· Ranks #2 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in total viewers, women 18-49 and women 25-54.
· Increases by +50% from its first half-hour to its fourth in adults 18-49 (from a 0.6 rating to a 0.9), by +63% in adults 25-54 (0.8 to 1.3) and by +40% or more than 1.6 million persons in total viewers (4.1 million to 5.8 million).
"SNL Vintage" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET, with an encore of the May 10, 1997 telecast of "Saturday Night Live" hosted by John Goodman with musical guest Jewel):
· Delivers the most-watched "SNL" rebroadcast in this slot since Nov. 7 (with host Buck Henry and musical guest The Band from Oct. 30, 1976, 3.6 million).
· Grows versus the prior "SNL Vintage" in total viewers for a fourth consecutive telecast (3.276 million vs. 3.002 million on March 12, 2.929 million on March 5, 2.907 million on Feb. 20 and 2.869 million on Feb. 13).
· Retains 100% week to week in adult 18-49 rating (0.8 vs. 0.8) and grows +9% in total viewers (3.276 million vs. 3.002 million).
In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday Night:
· The March 19 encore telecast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Chris Hemsworth and musical guest Chance the Rapper, averaged a 2.9 rating, 7 share in household results from the 56 markets metered-by Nielsen Media Research and a 1.1/5 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
· "Saturday Night Live" equaled its metered-market rating for the same night last (2.9/7 vs 2.9/7 on March 21, 2015 with host Kevin Hart and musical guest Sia). "SNL" was the #1 non-sports telecast of the night in 18-49 in the local people meters.
· Note that "SNL" adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with originals growing by +48% going from L+SD to L+7 in adults 18-49 (1.98 to 2.94) and +2.260 million persons in total viewers (6.509 million to 8.769 million).
