Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC, "The Voice" Hang Onto Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/16/16):

NBC (8.034 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) led the demo charge on Monday with new episodes of "The Voice" (9.356 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "Blindspot" (5.390 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

ABC (10.277 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (11.534 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) and the de facto series finale of "Castle" (7.764 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Next up was CBS (6.592 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with a new "Mike & Molly" (7.744 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) followed by the final "Mike & Molly" (8.319 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3), a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (7.172 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and new episodes of "The Odd Couple" (5.709 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Person of Interest" (5.304 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.120 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up originals from "Gotham" (3.783 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Houdini & Doyle" (2.458 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).

And finally, a new "Reign" (0.819 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and the season finale of "Jane the Virgin" (0.946 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) on The CW (0.882 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/18/15):

ABC (9.529 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) pulled into the top spot on Monday with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (14.108 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) and the return of "The Bachelorette" (7.239 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T).

NBC (9.174 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then had to settle for second place with a new "The Voice" (11.054 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) followed by the season finale of "The Night Shift" (5.416 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

Next up was CBS (7.896 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) with the respective finales for "2 Broke Girls" (7.615 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4), "Mike & Molly" (7.750 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #5), "Stalker" (6.823 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.182 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.096 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up a new "The Following" (3.104 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9) and the concluding installment of "The Following" (3.089 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

And finally, the feature "Celeste and Jesse Forever" (0.514 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #11) on The CW (0.514 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the film posted a 0.1 rating.
