Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: Olympic Games Rise for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/7/16):

NBC (29.672 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 9.0, #1) dominated the competition on Sunday with night three of its "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (29.672 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 9.0, #1) coverage.

A distant silver then went to CBS (3.705 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) with its mix of "60 Minutes" (5.593 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Big Brother 18" (5.237 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2), "Madam Secretary" (2.236 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "BrainDead" (1.756 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

Next up was ABC (3.210 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its repeat lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (3.047 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "Celebrity Family Feud" (3.683 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "$100,000 Pyramid" (3.436 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and "Match Game" (2.674 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

And finally, FOX (0.993 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) closed out the evening with repeats of "The Simpsons" (1.087 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10), "Bob's Burgers" (0.965 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10), another "The Simpsons" (1.104 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (0.872 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10), "Family Guy" (1.110 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "The Last Man on Earth" (0.822 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

CBS (5.698 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then was a distant second place with its quartet of "60 Minutes" (8.503 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "Big Brother 17" (6.671 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3), "Madam Secretary" (3.696 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) and "CSI: Cyber" (3.924 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Next up was ABC (3.788 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.505 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8), "Bachelor in Paradise" (3.742 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4) and "Save My Life: Boston Trauma" (3.163 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).
