Monday's Broadcast Ratings: Olympic Games Continue Reign for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/15/16):

It was another NBC (23.941 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.9, #1) victory on Monday with its coverage of the "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (23.941 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.9, #1).

Second place then went to ABC (3.875 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) with originals from "Bachelor in Paradise" (4.732 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) and "Mistresses" (2.161 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #8).

Next up was CBS (3.383 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its repeat lineup of "Mom" (4.087 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), "2 Broke Girls" (3.607 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), another "Mom" (3.715 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), "The Odd Couple" (2.950 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6) and "Scorpion" (2.971 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.392 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) opted for a repeat "So You Think You Can Dance" (1.392 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9).

And The CW (1.061 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) likewise went with second runs of "Supergirl" (1.119 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and another "Supergirl" (1.003 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

NBC (5.599 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was the demo champ for the third week in a row with a new "American Ninja Warrior" (6.653 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and a repeat "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (3.492 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3).

ABC (3.682 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) then claimed the silver with its trio of "Bachelor in Paradise" (5.237 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2), "After Paradise" (3.293 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "The Whispers" (2.515 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12).

Next up was FOX (3.131 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) with a new "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.131 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.185 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up repeats of "2 Broke Girls" (4.520 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "The Odd Couple" (4.200 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "Scorpion" (5.523 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.672 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

And finally, new episodes of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (2.627 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.995 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and "Significant Mother" (1.260 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) on The CW (2.127 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.5, 0.5 and a 0.2 rating, respectively.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
