Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC, "This Is Us" Hold Off Demo Competition

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/22/16):

NBC (8.301 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) held off the demo competition on Tuesday with its trio of "The Voice" (9.458 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T3), "This Is Us" (9.005 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (6.442 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T6).

ABC (9.448 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then was a silver draw with new episodes of "The Middle" (6.828 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5) and "American Housewife" (6.125 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8) followed by the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (10.934 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T3).

Next up was CBS (11.388 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) with originals from "NCIS" (14.846 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2), "Bull" (10.832 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.485 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9).

Meanwhile, The CW (1.905 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) offered up fresh installments of "The Flash" (2.944 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #10) and "No Tomorrow" (0.865 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14).

And finally, FOX (1.586 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) closed out the night with new episodes from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.191 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11), "New Girl" (1.791 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12) and "Scream Queens" (1.181 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/24/15):

ABC (11.451 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) pulled into the top spot on Tuesday with its annual telecast of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (7.502 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) followed by the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (13.425 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1).

NBC (8.258 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then had to settle for second place with week two of its trio of "The Voice" (9.897 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T3), "Chicago Med" (7.567 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T5) and "Chicago Fire" (7.311 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T5).

Next up was CBS (11.418 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) and originals from "NCIS" (16.028 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T3), "NCIS: New Orleans" (11.693 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7) and "Limitless" (6.534 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.273 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up new episodes from "Grandfathered" (2.781 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9), "The Grinder" (2.316 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11) and "Scream Queens" (1.998 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

And finally, the special "Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown" (1.497 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and a repeat "The Flash" (0.941 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) on The CW (1.219 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.
