"Queen Sugar" is the #1 Cable Series for African-American Women Quarter-to-date

LOS ANGELES - The season finale of OWN's popular drama series "Queen Sugar' (11/30/16) delivered 2.76 million viewers and a 2.62 W25-54 rating in L+3. The acclaimed drama from award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay ("Selma") and executive producer Oprah Winfrey ranked as Wednesday night's #1 cable telecast for women, up +4% in W25-54 and +7% in total viewers vs. the prior six-week average.

In addition, the season finale ranked as the #1 most social show on Twitter and Facebook in all of cable among all dayparts (non-sports) for the day.

Quarter-to-date, "Queen Sugar" is the #1 cable series for African-American women (12.23 rating) and the #1 new ad-supported cable series among W25-54 (2.44 rating). OWN is Wednesday night's #1 cable network among African-American women and total viewers.

"Queen Sugar's" second season will commence production in spring 2017 with all-new episodes scheduled to premiere on OWN in summer 2017.
