"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Builds on Record-Setting Season Premiere
Second Episode of Season 12 Increases +4% in Adults 18-49 and +6% in Total Viewers Over Premiere To Become The Most-Watched Original Telecast Ever on FXX
LOS ANGELES, January 17, 2017 - Sunny is brighter than ever as the second episode of Season 12 surpassed the ratings of the record-setting season premiere.
On a Live+3 basis, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's second episode (January 11, 10:00-10:30 PM) increased +4% in Adults 18-49 (1.18 million vs. 1.14 million) and +6% in Total Viewers (1.5 million vs. 1.41 million) over the Season 12 premiere, which itself set the record as the most-watched original telecast ever on FXX. In all, the season's second episode now represents the most-watched original telecast on FXX in Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Total Viewers.
For the night among all basic cable programs, Week 2 of Sunny ranked #1 in Men 18-34, #2 in Adults 18-34 and Men 18-49, and #5 in Adults 18-49.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns with an all-new episode tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 18 at 10 PM ET/PT on FXX: "Old Lady House: A Situation Comedy" - Charlie thinks Mac's mom is holding his mom hostage so the gang installs spy cameras in their house to monitor what's going on. What they end up discovering is the moms are quite entertaining once Dennis makes some quick edits and adds a laugh track to the surveillance footage. Dee wants in on the new hit show and Frank becomes obsessed with banging Charlie's mom now that he's seen her on TV. Written by Dannah Phirman and Danielle Schneider; Directed by Maurice Marable.
