Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Edges CBS for Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/10/17):

FOX (4.677 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) inched out the competition on Wednesday with new episodes of "Shots Fired" (3.087 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and "Empire" (6.267 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1).

CBS (7.004 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was a close second with its mix of "Survivor: Game Changers" (8.158 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), the season finale of "Criminal Minds" (7.981 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) and a new "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" (4.873 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

Next up was ABC (4.957 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with originals from "The Goldbergs" (5.208 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5), "Speechless" (4.300 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), "Modern Family" (5.627 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3), the season finale of "Black-ish" (4.749 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and "Designated Survivor" (4.929 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.934 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up new episodes of "Blindspot" (3.868 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.839 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8) and "Chicago PD" (6.095 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7).

And finally, fresh installments of "Arrow" (1.643 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14) and "The 100" (0.872 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) rounded out the night for The CW (1.257 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
