Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Continues Its Win Streak

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/15/17):

NBC (10.564 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) was the top draw for the 13th consecutive week thanks to a new "America's Got Talent" (13.159 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) and the relocated "Hollywood Game Night" (5.375 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

ABC (3.128 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was the silver draw with night two of "Bachelor in Paradise" (3.846 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and a new "Somewhere Between" (1.692 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7).

Next up was CBS (5.346 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with repeats of "NCIS" (5.817 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "Bull" (4.906 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.316 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.444 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up second runs of "Lethal Weapon" (1.737 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7), "The Mick" (1.256 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.045 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, The CW (1.080 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) likewise closed out the night with repeats of "The Flash" (1.152 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (1.009 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.0/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.9/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (8/16/16):

NBC (23.817 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1) was of course the network to beat on Tuesday with its primetime portion of the "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (23.817 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1).

ABC (2.775 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a distant second with "Bachelor in Paradise" (4.324 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2), "Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise" (2.582 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and repeats of "The Middle" (1.511 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and "Fresh Off the Boat" (1.325 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

Next up was CBS (4.833 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its trio of "NCIS" (6.524 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3), "Zoo" (4.094 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (3.883 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.197 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up repeats of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.282 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7), "New Girl" (0.921 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Lucifer" (1.292 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (0.915 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "MADtv" (0.640 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) on The CW (0.777 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.
