Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos, CBS Leads Total Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/7/17):

Absent the World Series, NBC (7.746 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was back on top Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (9.374 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2), "This Is Us" (9.775 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" (4.091 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

CBS (11.029 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then took home the silver with originals from "NCIS" (13.302 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Bull" (10.675 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.111 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

Next up was ABC (3.590 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its lineup of "The Middle" (5.589 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.687 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "Black-ish" (3.748 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), "The Mayor" (2.688 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12) and "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (2.913 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.915 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) served up new episodes of "Lethal Weapon" (4.007 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "The Mick" (2.104 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.544 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15).

And finally, originals from "The Flash" (2.311 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (1.537 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #16) on The CW (1.924 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) rounded out the night.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.6/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.8/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the six ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/8/16):

NBC (11.967 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1) led coverage of election night with the primetime portion of "2016 Election Night" (11.967 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1).

ABC (9.682 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2) then claimed the silver with its "Your Voice Your Vote" (9.682 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2).

Next up was CBS (8.799 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3) and its "Campaign 2016" (8.799 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.541 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) offered up "You Decide 2016" (4.541 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.224 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) and "No Tomorrow" (0.800 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.2, #6) on The CW (1.012 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.
