Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: Winter Olympics Open on Top for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/8/18):

NBC (14.525 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1) was of course the network to beat with the start of its "2018 Winter Olympics" (14.525 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1) coverage.

ABC (5.063 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) and FOX (4.026 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) shared a distant silver with the latter served up a new "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (3.726 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5) and the season finale of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (4.327 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T3).

Next up was the Alphabet and originals from "Grey's Anatomy" (7.295 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2), "Scandal" (4.631 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (3.263 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.188 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up night two of "Celebrity Big Brother" (5.597 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T3) alongside repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.583 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "Young Sheldon" (5.448 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) and "SWAT" (4.452 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

And finally, new episodes from "Supernatural" (1.818 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Arrow" (1.295 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) on The CW (1.556 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) rounded out the night.

ABC (6.527 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was the demo champ on Thursday with its dramas "Grey's Anatomy" (8.427 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), "Scandal" (6.239 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (4.917 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

CBS (7.481 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was a close second with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (14.182 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #1), "The Great Indoors" (7.865 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "Mom" (7.709 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "Life in Pieces" (6.285 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Training Day" (4.421 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #14).

Next up was FOX (3.370 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with the return of "MasterChef Junior" (4.206 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and a new "My Kitchen Rules" (2.535 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.813 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Superstore" (3.758 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #10), "Powerless" (2.801 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11), "Chicago Med" (6.290 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9) and "The Blacklist" (4.868 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
