ANIMAL PLANET DELIVERS DOUBLE-DIGIT PRIME TIME GAINS ACROSS THE 25-54 DEMO IN FEBRUARY

Animal Planet delivered double digit growth (+20%) among Adults 25-54 in February 2018, the largest A25-54 year-over-year gains in more than five years (Nov. 2012) in L+3. The network also delivered double-digit growth among Men 25-54 (up +10%) and Women 25-54 (up +20%) this month vs. Feb. 2017 and had the third-largest year-over-year growth among the Top 50 non-sports cable networks for the month in Adults 25-54 behind only A&E and WETV.
Additionally, Animal Planet delivered weekend and weekday Prime Time gains among Adults 25-54, including double-digits on Saturdays, the strongest night of the week, up +17% vs. Feb. 2017, driven by strong performances by Pit Bulls & Parolees and The Vet Life. Other double-digit gains for the month were seen on Mondays (+17%), Tuesdays (+36%), Thursdays (29%) and Sundays (+14%).
February programming highlights included Puppy Bowl XIV, the highest rated Puppy Bowl ever among Adults 25-54 (1.49) with an average of 3.1M total viewers, up +24% vs. last year's game. Puppy Bowl XIV on Feb. 4 ranked as the #1 cable telecast of the day, no exclusions, among Women 25-54, Women 18-49 and Total Viewers P2+. Other February highlights included Pit Bills & Parolees with an average of 1.1 million viewers for the month, North Woods Law (920,000 viewers), The Vet Life (899,000 viewers), Lone Star Law (837,000 viewers) and Treehouse Masters (778,000 viewers).
