Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Remains on Top with "This Is Us"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/22/19):

NBC (7.137 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with new episodes from "Ellen's Game of Games" (7.488 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2), "This Is Us" (8.116 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "New Amsterdam" (5.807 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #5).

CBS (6.318 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then claimed the silver with night two of "Celebrity Big Brother" (4.921 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) followed by new episodes of "FBI" (7.374 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (6.659 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

Next up was ABC (4.318 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with the season finale of "The Conners" (7.731 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) alongside new episodes of "The Kids Are Alright" (4.537 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6), "Black-ish" (3.363 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), "Splitting Up Together" (2.629 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "The Rookie" (3.825 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.227 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) opted for a repeat "Lethal Weapon" (2.646 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T13) and a new "The Gifted" (1.807 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T13).

And finally, fresh installments of "The Flash" (1.863 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "Roswell, New Mexico" (1.226 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) rounded out the night on The CW (1.544 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/23/18):

NBC (7.908 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was the top adults 18-49 draw on Tuesday with originals from "Ellen's Game of Games" (7.522 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2), "This Is Us" (9.329 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Chicago Med" (6.872 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

The silver then went to CBS (11.338 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) with new episodes from "NCIS" (13.757 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Bull" (11.058 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.198 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7).

Next up was FOX (3.426 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with fresh installments of "Lethal Weapon" (4.568 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6), "LA to Vegas" (2.644 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) and "The Mick" (1.927 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).
