Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "American Idol" Holds Off Demo Competition

Here are the highlights of the 19 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/19/20):

ABC (4.749 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the demo champ on Sunday thanks to a new "American Idol" (5.462 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) bookended by repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.466 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) and "The Rookie" (2.608 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

CBS (7.172 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) was a close second with its mix of "60 Minutes" (9.585 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1), "God Friended Me" (6.050 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.743 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and the season finale of "NCIS: New Orleans" (6.309 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

Next up was NBC (2.464 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T3) with originals from "Little Big Shots" (2.803 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11), "The Wall" (3.322 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (1.997 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) and "Good Girls" (1.735 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).
