"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Takes Fourth-Straight Late Night Ratings Crown

"THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT" TAKES FOURTH-STRAIGHT LATE NIGHT RATINGS CROWN

WINS THE 2019-2020 TELEVISION SEASON BY OVER +1.5 MILLION VIEWERS

LARGEST MARGIN OF VICTORY FOR CBS OVER COMPETITION SINCE 1994, AND COLBERT'S LARGEST MARGIN OF VICTORY EVER

With only one night remaining in the season, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT will once again be crowned the most-watched late night program and will win the traditional broadcast season in viewers, according to Nielsen most current ratings through Friday, May 15.

THE LATE SHOW currently leads second-place "The Tonight Show" by +1.55 million viewers (3.60m vs. 2.05m, +76%). This marks CBS' fourth consecutive late night win, the largest margin of victory for CBS over "The Tonight Show" since 1994, and the largest margin of victory ever for the show starring Colbert. THE LATE SHOW will also be first in adults 25-54 (0.7) and adults 18-49 (0.4, tie), while finishing +6% ahead in adults 18-49 viewers (556,000 vs. 524,000 for NBC).

For the most recent week (ending May 15) according to Nielsen live plus 3-day ratings, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT delivered 3.18 million viewers, 0.6 in adults 25-54 and 0.4 in adults 18-49. THE LATE SHOW added +540,000 viewers (from 2.64m), +0.1 rating point in adults 25-54 (from 0.5) and +0.1 in adults 18-49 (from 0.3). With this 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW improved its advantage over "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in viewers to +1.05 million (vs. 2.13m) after leading by +650,000 with same-day viewers (vs. 1.99m). With 3-day viewing, THE LATE SHOW is also first in adults 25-54 (0.6) and adults 18-49 (0.4, tie).

With 3-day ratings, THE LATE SHOW won every week of first-run broadcasts against first run weeks of "The Tonight Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in viewers with 26 of the 28 weeks posting a margin of victory of +1 million viewers or more.
