"The Wonder Years" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 4.1 million and 0.9/6 in AD18-49):
ABC's "The Wonder Years" premiered as the No. 1 new series debut so far this season among Adults 18-49 (0.9/6). In fact, "The Wonder Years" marked the highest-rated series debut on any network since April - since NBC's "Law & Order: Organized Crime" on 4/1/21.
"The Wonder Years" debut held 100% of "The Goldbergs" among Adults 18-49, standing as the only new series this season to retain all of its lead-in. In addition, "The Wonder Years" held onto 93% of its lead-in with Total Viewers (4.1 million vs. 4.4 million), marking the best retention of any new series this season.
With 3 days of viewing across linear and digital platforms, the series debut of "The Wonder Years" spiked to a 1.55 rating among Adults 18-49, more than doubling its initial Live+Same Day rating with a +131% jump from L+SD to MP+3 (0.67 rating to 1.55 rating).
"The Goldbergs" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 4.4 million and 0.9/7 in AD18-49):
ABC's "The Goldbergs" opened its ninth season with its strongest episode since January in Total Viewers (4.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.9/7) - since 1/13/21. "The Goldbergs" season nine premiere grew over its May finale (on 5/19/21) by 22% in Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 3.6 million) and by 29% with Adults 18-49 (0.9/7 vs. 0.7/5) to outdeliver its final 14 original telecasts of the prior season.
"The Goldbergs" premiere improved over its prior season average by 13% in Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 3.9 million) and by 13% with Adults 18-49 (0.9/7 vs. 0.8/5).
"The Conners" (9:00-9:31 p.m. - 5.2 million and 1.0/8 in AD18-49):
The live season four premiere of ABC's "The Conners" soared over its May finale (on 5/19/21) by 25% with Adults 18-49 (1.0/8 vs. 0.8/6) to outdeliver the final four telecasts of its prior season and match its highest-rated episode in 8 months (1.0/8) - since 1/20/21.
"The Conners" season nine premiere built over its prior season average by 16% in Total Viewers (5.2 million vs. 4.5 million) and by 25% with Adults 18-49 (1.0/8 vs. 0.8/5).
"Home Economics" (9:31-10:00 p.m. - 3.1 million and 0.6/4 in AD18-49):
ABC's second season premiere of "Home Economics" topped its May finale (on 5/19/21) by 7% in Total Viewers (3.1 million vs. 2.9 million) and outdrew its last four telecasts of the prior season.
