Paramount+ Scores its Most-Streamed NFL Regular Season Ever
CBS Sports scored with NFL viewers this season, averaging 18.034 million viewers and marking the Network's most-watched regular season in six years. This year's 18.034 million viewers delivered a +9% increase over last year's figure (16.539 million viewers).
THE NFL ON CBS averaged 21.588 million viewers for its 10 national Sunday game windows, which is more than any primetime television sports, entertainment or news series on any network this season.
Paramount+ delivered its most-streamed NFL regular season ever with double-digit growth across total streams, streaming minutes and unique viewers.
WEEK 18 SCORES WITH VIEWERS
CBS Sports' Week 18 national game window, with Steelers-Ravens as the high-coverage game, averaged 16.859 million viewers, an increase of +24% versus last year's Week 17 national game window and is the Network's most-watched final regular-season weekend since 2015.
THE NFL ON CBS Week 18 regional game window averaged 14.167 million viewers, up +7% over last year's final weekend and CBS' most-watched final weekend regional window in six years.
Paramount+, featuring live THE NFL ON CBS local games, scored triple-digit growth in unique viewers and double-digit growth in total streams and streaming minutes from last year's final weekend.
ADDITIONAL 2021 HIGHLIGHTS
The 2021 NFL season was led by CBS Sports' presentation of the Thanksgiving Day contest between the Raiders and Cowboys, which averaged 40.802 million viewers and is the most-watched regular-season game on any network in 31 years (41.474, NYG-SF, 12/03/90). With the corrected number from Nielsen, Raiders-Cowboys is one of only two NFL regular-season games on record (since at least 1988) to average at least 40 million viewers on any network.
CBS Sports' NFL coverage recorded three of the top four television programs in the 2021 calendar year with Super Bowl LV (No. 1 with 92.509 million viewers), AFC Championship (No. 3 with 42.336 million viewers) and Raiders-Cowboys on Thanksgiving (No. 4 with 40.802 million viewers).
