ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN ALL KEY DEMOS: TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49

'Nightline' Grows 8% in Adults 18-49 Week Over Week

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Leads CBS in Key Adult Demos for the 7th Consecutive Year

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 across the board: Total Viewers (740,000), Adults 25-54 (172,000) and Adults 18-49 (133,000) during the week of July 18, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, leading CBS' "Late Late Show-JC - ENC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

"Nightline" improved on the previous week in Adults 18-49 (+8% - 133,000 vs. 123,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th consecutive year - since the 2015-2016 season.

This week, "Nightline" covered Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who tied the knot nearly 20 years later; Gabby Giffords' new documentary, "Gabby Giffords Won't Back Down"; the Uvalde school board forum addressing multiple systematic failures; the new documentary "Aftershock," shedding light on the epidemic of Black maternal deaths; Wildfires and record temperatures in Europe, plus extreme heat taking a toll on the U.S.; Priyanka Chopra Jonas on her new South Asian food venture; some of the Turpin siblings rescued in 2018 who are now suing a foster care agency alleging abuse; possibly the final Jan. 6 committee hearing; a mother speaking out about the decision to turn her son into the police; platonic life partners who are rewriting what it means to be in a committed relationship; and Ivana Trump's legacy.

NOTE: For the week, CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC - ENC" due to being repeats. The telecasts are excluded from the season averages. On Friday (7/22/22), NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. NBC's averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
