ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR THE 4TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK
'Nightline' Outdelivers CBS' 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' and NBC's 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' in Total Viewers in 10 of the Last 11 Weeks
Season to Date, 'Nightline' Leads CBS' 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' in All Key Target Demos
ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (764,000) for the 4th week in a row during the week of Feb. 6, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. In fact, "Nightline" outdelivered CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" in Total Viewers in 10 of the last 11 weeks. In addition, beat the CBS program in Adults 25-54.
Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+7% - 910,000 vs. 847,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key target demos.
This week "Nightline" covered Juju Chang's interview with The Jonas Brothers for IMPACT x Nightline; Byron Pitts' interview with Washington legend Doug Williams about this year's Superbowl, which is the first to feature two starting Black quarterbacks; the growing humanitarian crisis from a deadly earthquake in Turkey and Syria and David Muir's reporting from Turkey where rescue teams frantically attempt to save families trapped under rubble; Linsey Davis' interviews with survivors of Lawrence Ray's abuse for an upcoming episode of IMPACT x Nightline; LeBron James being crowned the new NBA all-time scoring king; Madonna's clap back against ageism; and the first Chicana Indigenous woman to be named marquee artist for the Super Bowl.
NOTE: On Friday (2/10/23), CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC-ENC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. CBS' and NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
