DESCRIPTION:
(from TV Guide's press release, December 2011) "Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On" is an eight-episode original reality series that follows one of the most successful all-girl groups in music history which includes sisters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson and best friend Chynna Phillips. It's been 20 years since their anthem "Hold On" ruled the airways, but now Wilson Phillips is staging a comeback. Daughters of famous musicians - The Beach Boys and The Mamas & The Papas - this Grammy(R)-nominated singing sensation rose to fame with their California looks and unique harmonies, but also garnered headlines with their personal lives. Since then, the women have had to juggle their singing careers, high-profile marriages and raising children while at the same time dealing with tabloid scandals, family dramas and health issues. Their journey back to fame will be captured in this series. "Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On" is being produced by RelativityREAL with Tom Forman, Jay Blumenfield, Tony Marsh and Brad Bishop serving as executive producers. David Simone and Winston Simone of DSW Entertainment also will serve as executive producers. |
