While tonight's "The Patriot in Purgatory" begins like a typical episode of "Bones" with our Jeffersonian team trying to identify an unidentified set of bones, they soon find that the bones traces back to that fateful day on September 11, 2001. Our characters and story spend the episode, penned by Executive Producer Stephen Nathan, focusing on the impact of that day on the lives of Americans as well as a reminder to honor those who lost their lives.
The cast and crew of "Bones" were honored on Friday by the City of Los Angeles with a proclamation ceremony for the episode for its efforts in calling attention to issues of American military personnel as well as the tie-in to Veteran's Day.
Our Jim Halterman was present after the ceremony to talk with stars David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, Executive Producer Stephen Nathan as well as Eugene Byrd, Pej Vahdat and Michael Grant Terry, who play three of the five "squinterns" featured in the episode.
"Bones" airs Mondays at 8:00/7:00c on FOX.
