NEW YORK, September 16, 2013 - "South Park" received an Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Animated Program last night at the 2012-2013 Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards, as awarded by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Five-time Emmy winner "South Park" was awarded the Emmy for the "Raising the Bar" episode. The series has also won the prestigious Peabody(R) Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.

"South Park" returns for its 17th season with ten all-new episodes beginning on Wednesday, September 25 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.

The all-new episodes from this season are available in HD exclusively on XBOX Live, iTunes, Sony Entertainment Network, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, and Samsung Media Hub. Episodes are also available on SouthParkStudios.com.

Named "One of the All-Time Greatest TV Shows" by Entertainment Weekly, COMEDY CENTRAL's "South Park" launched on August 13, 1997. The series airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. and repeats later that night at midnight (all times ET/PT).

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the co-creators of "South Park." Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino and Frank C.
