WGN AMERICA UNVEILS HEART-STOPPING NEW TEASER TRAILER FOR "SALEM" SEASON TWO
Series Stars Janet Montgomery and Ashley Madekwe Mesmerize in Sinister New Teaser, 'Bloodbath'
'Salem' Returns for Season Two on Sunday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT
LOS ANGELES, February 6, 2015 - This Valentine's Day, there is no rest for the wicked as WGN America gives fans of its provocative, supernatural thriller "Salem" a feast for the eyes - and the soul - with the release of the heart-stopping new teaser trailer, "Bloodbath." As seductive as it is sinister, the all-new clip is a terrifying omen for what lies ahead for Salem's deadliest witch, Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery, "Made in Jersey," "Human Target"), and her shadowy accomplice Tituba (Ashley Madekwe, "Revenge") when they return in the heat of a 'witch war' in season two. Currently in production in Shreveport, LA on its 13-episode sophomore run, "Salem" season two premieres SUNDAY, April 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET/ 9:00 p.m. CT, exclusively on WGN America.
With love (and wickedness) in the air, WGN America will also treat fans on "Salem's" official social channels with twisted, original Valentine's Day-inspired content for followers to share, including personal, twisted video messages from the cast and more surprises.
From creators and writers Brannon Braga ("Cosmos," "24") and Adam Simon ("The Haunting in Connecticut"), "Salem" is a gripping one-hour drama that boldly re-imagines the infamous 17th century witch trials in colonial Massachusetts. The series stars Janet Montgomery, Shane West ("Nikita," "ER"), Seth Gabel ("Arrow," "Fringe"), Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant ("Jane Eyre"), Elise Eberle ("The Astronaut Farmer") and Iddo Goldberg ("Mob City"). New to the cast of "Salem" for season two are Lucy Lawless ("Xena: Warrior Princess", "Spartacus"), Stuart Townsend ("Betrayal," "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"), Joe Doyle ("Raw") and Oliver Bell ("The Saint.")
"Salem" is executive produced by Brannon Braga, Adam Simon, Kelly Souders, Brian Peterson and Prospect Park's Josh Barry and Jeff Kwatinez. Nick Copus directs and serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Fox 21.
