This is the story of a woman who loses her fiancé in an accident and the man whose life he saved - a beautiful yet heartbreaking romance about two people at the mercy of fate that begins with a bittersweet "goodbye."
Saeko (Kasumi Arimura) loses the love of her life Yusuke (Toma Ikuta) when he dies in an accident on the same day he proposed to her. Later, a man named Naruse (Kentaro Sakaguchi) gets a new lease on life after receiving Yusuke's heart in a transplant operation, all while his wife Miki (Yuri Nakamura) stands steadfast by his side. These two couples, who under any other circumstances would have lived completely separate lives, become intertwined by a strange fate. As if drawn together by some hidden force, Saeko eventually encounters Naruse, who gradually begins to feel Yusuke's memories awaken inside him.
