DESCRIPTION:
(from NBC's press release) In the season premiere, Reverend Daniel Webster (Aidan Quinn) and his wife Judith (Susanna Thompson) are disheartened when they must make a late-night stop by the police station to pick up their daughter Grace (Alison Pill), who was arrested for possession of marijuana. The minister's troubles continue the following day when he learns the funds set aside for the building of St. Barnabus School are missing - along with his brother-in-law. Later, Peter (Christian Campbell) announces that he's been accepted at the Gerstner School for cancer research, but Daniel is concerned that his motives have more to do with the death of his twin than his own interests. Ivan Shaw, Garret Dillahunt, Dylan Baker and Ellen Burstyn also star. In the second hour, an embarrassed Judith (Susanna Thompson) confronts Daniel (Aidan Quinn) when it comes full circle from her sister Victoria (Cheryl White) that the couple's personal sex life was discussed during one of Rev. Daniel's counseling sessions. Later, Peter (Christian Campbell) endures an equally uncomfortable exchange over Sunday dinner when his grandfather Bishop Bertrum Webster (James Rebhorn) grills him about his assumed interest in the ladies. Meanwhile, Adam's (Ivan Shaw) own romance is in jeopardy when he falls out of his girlfriend Caroline Paxton's (guest star Leven Rambin) window and is discovered on the hood of her father Roger's (Dylan Baker) car. Alison Pill, Garret Dillahunt and Ellen Burstyn also star.
